  eLibrary BookCarts™ & QuizCarts™
BookCarts & QuizCarts
No matter which version of eLibrary your school receives from ProQuest, the integrated BookCart and QuizCart tools make it easy for you and others to integrate digital resources and assessments into daily classroom use.

BookCarts (download our quick start guide) provide point-and-click templates for building standards- and Lexile-correlated reading lists, project pages, lesson plans, and assessments with online content.

Educators can incorporate links to relevant publications, articles, photos, maps, multimedia files, and websites from online sources or personal favorite weblinks. BookCarts and QuizCarts can be easily shared by teachers in the same school or any school in the district.

Teachers and library media specialists can collaborate with our BookCart Editor tool to pre-select a collection of reference materials and store them in special BookCart lists that are accessible to students for a variety of inquiry-based learning activities.

We've also created hundreds of model BookCarts to help teachers get a jump start on assigning inquiry-based learning activities. These BookCarts correlate to most of the popular topics/issues assigned for research in all curriculum areas and grade levels. The models include selected resources combined with lesson plan elements: essential questions for critical thinking, student directions, a standard, and options for print call numbers and a quiz. This makes each a self-contained one-stop learning activity.

This page contains information and links to our full line of related training materials to help you get started making BookCarts and delivering quizzes right away.

Teachers will love our new CourseCarts. CourseCarts are collections of BookCarts that correlate to popular courses taught in secondary schools. Each CourseCart is designed as a learning activity that addresses major topics in courses of study and the textbooks used to deliver course content. This makes it easy for teachers to select from a collection of more than 20 topics and assign a BookCart inquiry-based learning activity at any point in the course. This saves time and ensures relevancy and a variety of credible learning resources.

You can search by Title, Subject, or Author to find these among the archive of thousands of Carts created since 2004. Many of the Carts you find may not be of the quality of our ProQuest Carts models.

So, click the EYE icon in the Actions column to review the Cart before you make the decision to copy it to your local collection.
