SIRS® MARC records ensure fast access to SIRS® Enduring Issues content, using your OPAC's search power and familiar interface. Patrons will discover SIRS print articles while using the OPAC system, opening a new world of information. Each MARC record contains a complete, hand-written article summary and easy-to-use, descriptive call numbers. All records use Library of Congress subject headings and conform to the Library of Congress MARC 21 Format for Bibliographic Data.

SIRS Enduring Issues is an eight-volume, 32-topic reference set showcasing the best articles published during the preceding year. Available in a convenient loose-leaf format for classroom and library use, SIRS Enduring Issues is an excellent tool for teaching basic research methodology. The collection fosters multidisciplinary classroom discussion and promotes critical thinking on major issues. Volume titles include Business, Global Issues, Human Relations, Environment, Health, Family, Science and Institutions.

Each volume comprises 80 carefully selected full-text articles chosen according to strict criteria standards with regard to content and age appropriateness. All articles are indexed by professionals utilizing Library of Congress subject headings to ensure that information relevant to the user's research is retrieved. A file is provided for each volume in the Enduring Issues series. Each file contains the MARC records for the corresponding volume. Simply import the MARC record file for each Enduring Issues volume in your collection using your import utility.

To add the MARC records for an Enduring Issues volume to your OPAC:

Right-click on the volume name you would like to add from the volume list (below).
Select the "Save Target As" or Save Link As" option.
Ensure "Save as type" is set to "All Files". The file will then download to the location you selected on your hard drive.
Import the below files into your OPAC using the import utility.
