Classroom Activities
It's important for students to distinguish between the mainstream beliefs of any religion and its extremist wings. This month, teachers can take the occasion of the Islamic New Year to assign activities that promote religious tolerance.

Students can gain understanding of how the results of the Tet Offensive resembles the recent troop surge in Iraq. Both situations argued for our presence and victory -- the defeat of the Communists then, and now, the defeat of terrorists. Is it worth the cost?
