Eleven of the titles are about religion in America, and one title each for the history of Islam and Judaism. eLibrary also boasts a handful of new transcripts from some of the hottest current events programs on U.S. cable television and public radio.   Classroom Activity: Financial Literacy 101
The unfolding U.S. sub-prime mortgage crisis won't be solved simply by teaching financial literacy to every student. That said, financial knowledge is the power to make safe and wise choices that result in quality of life, and therefore it should be taught in our schools and not acquired by trial and error.

ProQuest and eLibrary are doing their part, providing teachers with resources that help teach important topics related to financial literacy. Our eLibrary BookCart collection includes a variety of inquiry-based lesson plans on important current financial topics.

  Sighting Citations @ eLibrary
"We LOVE the citations in eLibrary," says Kristy Fowler, a librarian at Madison Middle School in Texas. "The students are delighted when they can click on Citation and have help with their MLA style. We always remind the kids to touch up what they see -- sometimes there are style errors, like abbreviating June -- and to add the hanging indent. We may *love* these citations, but the kids *really love* them and are so grateful!" Be sure to make full use of this powerful feature in eLibrary.
