Answer: A small statue of King Tut was discovered in northern Iraq in February 2009. Dating from the mid-14th century BC, the statue shows the face of the ancient civilization of Kurdistan, and sheds light on the ancient relations between Egypt and the state of Mitanni. In the 14th century BC, the kingdom of Mitanni occupied approximately the same territory as contemporary Syria, Iraq, Turkey, and Iran.
