- Mikhail Gorbachev (March 2)
- Michelangelo Buonarroti (March 6)

- Percival Lowell (March 12)

- Sandra Day O'Connor (March 26)
- August Busch, Jr. (March 28)

Activity
Most elementary curricula include student activities that include researching the biographies of notable persons. This activity is designed to do just that.
Assign a different person on the list to each student. Students then present an oral or PowerPoint report of about two minutes that includes a picture of the person as well as a second picture of something representative of the person's work.
The report should include answers to at least four of the following essential questions for critical thinking:
- When and where was this person born and in what field did he do his best work?
- What was this person's greatest accomplishment?
- What do you think inspired this person to achieve what he/she did?
- How do this person's accomplishments benefit us today?
- Are there any events or deeds that you think this person might regret?
- Is there anything about this person's life that inspires you?
Pathfinder #1: Click the Biographies link on the right side of the Search page, select the alphabetic index, then browse for this person.
Pathfinder #2: If the person in not in the Biographies section, use a keyword search on the Search page instead.
Here are some new ProQuest models that students can use for their written (model) and PowerPoint reports (model 1 and 2.)
