For the month of January 2008,
our SIRS solutions spotlight
several special themes
from their unique perspectives.

The Green movement began as a political movement during the 1970s. Activists concerned with environmental, ecological and social issues founded political
parties that reflected their ideologies. Now synonymous with environmentalism, the Green movement comprises individuals, organizations, corporations and
politicians around the world involved in efforts to preserve and protect the environment.
Evidence of global warming and the consequences of increased energy consumption have not only galvanized the Green movement, but have fostered support for
its ideals. As a result, more consumers are demanding environmentally friendly products, sustainable architecture and sustainable agriculture, compelling
businesses to be more environmentally responsible.

The Earth's solar system is made up of the Sun, its orbiting planets and their moons, dwarf planets, asteroids, comets, and other assorted celestial objects.
Despite centuries of research, from the findings of ancient astronomers to the discoveries of modern space exploration, our solar system continues to surprise us.
For example, our ninth planet, Pluto, was only recently reclassified as a dwarf planet in August 2006. Other current findings indicate that Mars may have once been
a planet filled with water. Space exploration has even produced evidence of water on one of Saturn's moons! And did you know that Mercury may have a liquid
core?
