New Non-Fiction Content
Our newest addition is the acclaimed Weekly Reader series of books, geared specifically for elementary levels. Accelerated-Reader approved and correlated with curricula including science, the series are comprised of multiple books. These high-interest titles combine easy-to-follow text with amazing photos to spark students' interest in reading. Reading levels include grades 1-2, 3-4, and 5-6. Having established an esteemed reputation for creating outstanding reference publications, the Favorable Impressions titles display a high level of care and commitment, and each publication is reviewed by advisory boards comprised of school librarians, public librarians, and reading specialists.

As promised, we have added more titles in the Biography for Beginners series! Latest additions include:

Check out TIME's collection of primary documents in Famous Faces from TIME. Teachers can access and use original magazine covers from 1925 to the present, to help students discover history! A 16-page Teacher's Guide is included, and each entry contains a profile of a "Famous Face." The profiles help students read for understanding, increase vocabulary, and raise global awareness by making personal connections to the world around them.

This title addresses the constant demand for biographies in elementary, as well as the continual request for primary documents. New titles include:

eLibrary Elementary Solution Updates
ProQuest continues to add new, premier titles, including established and peer-reviewed publications, respected by librarians.

The call for full-text books remains animated. New titles continue to be added each month to eLibrary Elementary, joining many other non-fiction books already in the database. New features to our recently loaded books may include tables of contents, glossaries, article links, images, maps, timelines, and ever-valuable primary documents.

Our collection remains a valuable resource, and may be just what you need for your non-fiction and reference content! Research shows that these titles are classified as "Grades 6-12," or as "Young Adult," in such well-known publications as Booklist and School Library Journal, both of whom also describe many of the titles as "valuable resources."

Additionally, our Reference Desk provides everything young researchers need to begin the research process. Users can create marked lists, and view, print, or email any document or image in one easy step.
